How often should someone visit Marvel Dental?
Our dentists recommend that patients of all ages should come in to Marvel Dental at least twice a year for routine checkups and cleanings in order to prevent the most common dental problems (cavities, gum disease, etc.). Some may require more frequent visits depending on their needs, but for most, two is enough to keep their smile well protected.
My gums bleed whenever I brush my teeth. Should I be worried?
Bleeding gums can occur for a number of reasons, but the top two are brushing/flossing too hard and periodontal disease. Try cleaning your teeth with a lighter touch for about a week, and if the bleeding persists, then you likely have a minor periodontal infection. In order to keep it from getting worse, we recommend coming to see us as soon as you can.
Can I get oral cancer even if I don’t smoke?
Yes, about 25% of all people diagnosed with oral cancer do not engage in typically risky behaviors such as tobacco use or excessive alcohol consumption. To help with early detection, our dentists perform an oral cancer screening as part of every routine checkup, so be sure to not miss out on your yearly dental visits!
Can you make my teeth whiter?
Yes, we offer in-house and take-home professional teeth whitening treatments, both of which are much stronger, faster, and safer than anything you can buy in stores or online. They can easily make your smile up to EIGHT shades whiter!
Do you accept dental emergencies?
Yes! If you are having a dental emergency, please call us any time. We have morning, evening, and weekend hours, plus emergency walk-ins are always welcome. If you ever need dental care fast, just call Marvel Dental, and we’ll take care of you!
Can I straighten my teeth without traditional metal braces?
Yes-- with Invisalign. This is a clear aligner system that is practically invisible, and it’s often able to straighten the teeth much faster than traditional orthodontics as well.
Will you accept my insurance?
Yes, we are happy to accept insurance plans from any provider, and we are in-network with many of the most common PPO plans. To learn how we can use your particular plan to help you save on your care, contact us today.
